旭川冬季 - Winter in Asahikawa

雖雪上運動為北海道主要活動，但其它活動及景點也是不容忽略，每年二月初所舉辦的冬之祭嘉年華，所呈現的雪景，冰雕，燈海及煙火都令人賞心悅目，這時在購物商圈主要街道上，展示來自世界各地的冰雕團隊所完成的冰雕作品，尤其夜晚，在七彩燈光照耀下，真是漂亮極了
冬季另一項活動就是狗拉雪橇，在旭川，只要您想要嘗試這項活動，隨時都可以的，不會在您一開始猶豫時，而 機會不在。
旭山動物園，在現今日本，是人氣最旺的動物園，冬季也對外開放；此時的氣候對園中最受歡迎的北極熊來說，可說是最高興了，因此是觀賞牠們的最佳時刻；另外動物園也經常推出新的活動，所以旭山動物園已經是遊客來旭川的第一目標，請您一定親自拜訪，不能錯過
旭川雖然在冬季很冷，但是非常的美麗，也是提供許多冬季活動的好地方，若您登門拜訪，一定不會讓您失望。

冬季開車 －Winter Driving
若從旭川要前往山區滑雪，雖然搭乘巴士很簡單且花費不會昂貴一項的選擇，然而自己開車前往也是不會困難，只要您持有國際駕照、護照就可開車上路了，
由於市區及市郊主要道路，努力進行鏟雪後，通常，道路狀況非常良好，但天氣狀況影響，很快地，又變的不甚理想；除非道路已被雪所覆蓋，輪胎上鍊是不允許的，所以開車的朋友通常不會使用；幾乎大部份道路未鋪有砂、鹽，汽車行駛僅需雪胎就已足夠
剛開始開車可能會不習慣、緊張，且面對不同交通號誌及道路標識，也會讓您分散注意力，但經過一段時間之後，就可駕輕就熟。
另一點提醒您：一些較小的郊外道路，在冬天可能會封閉，請儘量利用高速公路、及主要道路

The preparation of ice columns and ice dorms takes more than 2 months in a natural environment. They are lit up at night for a beautiful effect. The winter fireworks are a phenomenal experience.

The Asahikawa Winter Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary around Tokiwa park. The International ice sculpture competition will be held at the same time in main shopping street, Kaimono koen. The lit up snow and ice sculptures are must see in winter.
